Your Course

Courses are suitable for Beginners as well as those with some experience.

Guidance is given at every stage and includes:

  • Museum visits and discussions on inspiration, subject and style
  • Armature making workshop (at the beach)
  • Clay modeling, Anatomy study and Lamination workshop (at the studio)

Figurative sculpture - With tutor-guidance, anatomy-book reference and regular visits to the museum (just a 10 minute walk from the studio) you will be able to create an expressive and impressive sculpture within a week.  Working in clay, we shall be starting with some simple exercises and then focusing on anatomy and movement.  By the end of the course you will go home not only with a fine piece of work but with a fuller understanding of what makes for truly dynamic figurative sculpture - and with the skills to make more.

Transporting Sculptures Home:  All work will be made safe for travelling. The sculptures are protected by Fine Lamination, a technique which allows sculptures to be created quickly and transported safely. Your sculptures can therefore be stowed in your luggage for the return journey.
