Dates, Costs and Flights

Tuition:  £350 

 Return Flight: £199

 Accommodation: £200

Bookings for the Sculpture Course are taken at least 3 months in advance and secured with a deposit of £350.  This deposit would be fully refunded in the unlikely event of a course being cancelled.  

Once the course booking has been secured, flights can then be booked.  These are paid for independently by each participant.  Arrangements are made, wherever possible, to travel together on the same flight.  Thomas Cook runs regular flights to Rhodes from all UK airports, with returns starting from £199, (price quoted on 14.01.12)   Course dates have been matched to fit existing flight times/dates from Bristol International airport.  

Self catering accommodation is arranged by Kate Newlyn on behalf of participants.  The overall cost of the 5 apartments for 8 nights is 1,200Euros, ie 240Euros (£200) for each of the 5 participants. This will either be paid directly by each participant to the Hotelier on arrival, or, if the cost has been covered in advance to secure the reservation, it will be paid to Kate Newlyn. No arrangement fee is charged for this.   Up to date information on accommodation can be supplied on request.

Non-Course Participating partners are welcome too since the apartments are equipped for accommodating 11 people, many of the rooms having double beds or 2 single beds.  (Priority re work-space would naturally be given to participants during sculpting hours). The cost of the rooms for every participant would be reduced were participants' partners to accompany them.

For those who wish to extend their holiday and stay on for an extra week, arrangements can be made in advance to reserve accommodation.

Participants are invited to meet up at the Tutor's cottage in Somerset, a week or so before the course starts for a group meal and introductory evening in order to meet each other and have a chat about the course.
